At Covenant, Pastor Ozzie, is well aware that the youth are our church!  To that end, he has provided Rev. Murff the opportunity to birth Covenant  exTreme Youth Church. The realities of life have expanded this initial concept to now include three divisions, Children Church (ages 3-7), Youth Church (ages 8-12), and Teen Church (ages 13-19).  As Covenant attempts to aid our present future in the initiation, development of and cultivating of a relationship with Christ we are blessed by the spirit of the children, youth and teens.  Lectionary based curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit is used by the youth ministry pastoral staff and the numerous dedicated teachers, monitors and support staff that volunteer their time and talents.

On any given first, second or third Sunday at 11am you can find three distinct sermonic moments being presented within Covenant's Children, Youth, and Teen services.  The youth and children begin worship together with the Youth Praise Team accompanied by our youth serving as pianist and percussionist.  The Covenant Praise/Liturgical Dancers perform on the third Sunday of each month.  The Jr. Deacons assist Rev. Murff and Rev. Andrea in leading worship services.  After we give to the Lord, through our offertory, the children and youth split and each receives a sermonic teaching appropriate to their age and understanding. Meanwhile, Teen church is learning, studying, discussing and absorbing God in manners most affective for them. They are led by Rev. Julian DeShazier as they engage the text and apply scripture to life today making service meaningful to them.

As the youth prepare to Give Him Glory, Wednesday evenings finds Covenant filled with life as the three choirs, Sunshine Band, Youth Choir and Teen Choir rehearse.  Following rehearsal the spiritual lives of our youth is further deepened through three divisions of Bible Study classes.

Various worship experiences, programs, and activities include:

• 11 am Sunday worship services on the first, second and third Sunday of each month
• Fourth Sundays are Family Sunday  families worship together in the main sanctuary
• Fifth Sundays are Youth Sundays - the youth provide every aspect of the 11am worship service in the main sanctuary.
• Wednesday Evening Bible study classes (Children, Youth & Teen)
• Sunshine Band, Youth Choir and Teen Choir

• Liturgical Praise Dancers
• Quarterly ON TEN services where teens worship on Friday nights in creative and inspiring ways
• Annual Teen Lock-in,   Previous lock-ins have been held at Game Works, Hollywood Park, Safari Land and Brunswick Zone.

Children, Youth and Teens are invited and encouraged to come and worship with us.  We encourage parents to remain present with younger children their first or second visit with us.
